4Sight Outage

We wanted to post this since it is a holiday weekend and since the outage seems like it may be an extended one.  Control4 reports:


Web Services service problem 2018/05/06 starting at 9:09 AM MDT (UTC-6)

There is a problem that is impacting multiple services for control4 web sites
and services. We are investigating and do not have an ETA for resolution yet.

That is 10:09am Central Daylight Time which is what most of our customers are on.   Unfortunately, there is nothing Network Solutions Automation can do to resolve this issue or speed up resolution.  Control access using the Control4 app *does* work locally, but you must make sure you are connected to the local network.  Other services like Alexa, When > Then, and remote access are down.   We will post updates here as we get them.


Update – 12:20pm – We have not gotten an announcement from Control4, but we have customer reports that the services are back up.  We have also confirmed this ourselves.  Since Control4 has not reported this, services may not be restored for 100% of people, but it is likely they will be soon.

[RESOLVED] Web Services service problem 2018/05/26 starting at 9:09 AM MDT (UTC-6)

There was a problem with web services that interrupted many services for
Control4 customers. We have identified the issue and services have been
functional since about 10:15 AM MT (UTC-6). Controllers may take up to 2 hours
after that to reestablish registration for the AnywhereAccess-related services.
